Leading Researchers was initiated in 2017 by King’s College London and has been designed to encourage leading researchers to create studies in their chosen fields of interest.
This study was a response to the five (5) year Research Strategy programme of the institution and has focused on new academic and leading researchers with proven knowledge and proficiency in their own fields of expertise. The programme aims to introduce cross-disciplinary manners of researches and to spark interests in making breakthroughs through creating initiatives on conducting and managing large-scale programmes and ambitious research studies.
Though at this moment, the study continually focuses on training newly-promoted or soon-to-be Professors, the programme has been a collaboration of the college and creative organisations in producing resources for creative breakthroughs and cultural innovations.
As the study goes, researchers are introduced to three pillars – Innovation, Leadership, and Collaboration. These aim to enable those involved in the five-day programme to express, develop, generate larger ideas, improve their writing and communication skills, and even identify the purpose of the conduct and structure of their own studies through various activities and coaching sessions.
